Russia's Electricity Export Dropped by 4% Last Year
According to the latest statistics from Russia's Federal Customs Service, in 2013 the total electricity export of Russia was 18.382TWh, 4% less than 19.143TWh in 2012. Among it, 12.8905TWh was exported to non-CIS countries, declining by 0.8% compared to the previous year. 5.4915TWh was exported to CIS countries, declining by 10.6% compared to last year.
Russia's Federal Customs Service claimed that the total electricity export income was 992.1 million US dollars, declining by 2.7% compared to last year.
Russia has abundant electricity resources and its scale of electric systems ranked No.1 in Europe and No.4 worldwide, with 1000TWh of annual electricity supply.
